We are a theatre company, originally from Liverpool. In response to the Covid-19 crisis and my one-man tour being rescheduled to next summer, I wanted to create an online theatre show. I chose to work with Poe’s timeless story as it is written entirely in the first person and mostly takes place in one room, which proved a perfect monologue for an actor to perform from their home. Keeping true to Poe's spirit, the vision was to create a very intimate and intense experience for the reader (or in this case, the audience). My younger brother has always wanted to make a film with me, and we very quickly moved my girlfriend into our family home when the lock-down started to be enforced - both of whom were really up for helping me out with this ambitious project.
