Goodbye: The Afterlife Of Cook and Moore

Blurb for Pete and Dud presents
Goodbye The Afterlife Of Cook and Moore
Peter Cook has been waiting for Dudley Moore for 7 years, in a comedians Limbo waiting for judgement for Derek and Clive.
(This production has been shot on two screens to give the impression of a Big Brother like afterlife where the cameras of the CBB, (Celestial Broadcasting Board) are always watching you.)
Things said about this production
“Ingenious and affectionate. A fond conjourment of the brief golden age when the music hall tradition surrendered to satire and satire heralded the surreal. And Cook played all three stages. And he and Moore defined a new age of irascible double-acts. A charming wallow in an eccentric world of comedy that defined the landscape of what was to come to this day.”
Terry Johnson
Writer and Director of the BAFTA winning Not Only But Always.
“Comic Gem that deserves to be snapped up by the BBC”
The Spectator.
“Wonderful”
Joe McGrath Director Not Only But Also and Behind The Fridge.
“Loved it”
John Bassett Creator Beyond The Fringe.
(A more rounded tighter version of this script was produced last year at Dingwalls in Camden which sold out to over 300 a night with standing ovations.)
Contains offensive material.

Directed by Vadim Jean
“One of the ideas I had when considering another production of this play was instead of having a theatre director, having a movie and TV director to direct it, giving it an almost 3-dimensional magical quality.
And the possible transition to screen?
Vadim Jean who’s won BAFTA’s and Rose D’Or’s did just that.
We could not have found a better Dudley Moore than the comic brilliance of Kev Orkian who has played the piano since he was 4.
And rounding it all off the enormous shining versatility of my co-writer, and a man who has been on the journey since its inception at the Gilded Balloon in Edinburgh, Clive Greenwood as a plethora of famous dead comedians.
Who?
Watch and find out!”
Jonathan Hansler, Peter Cook, Originator and Co-writer
