By the Light of the Moon

We find Lila alone in a hospital for the criminally insane in 1928. Abandoned by her family, society, and her only friend in the asylum, she is forced to face her deepest secrets and the dark reality of the events leading up to her imprisonment. The show presents us with questions about gender, mental health and the institutional suppression of the female voice.
Recently seen in the Hollywood Fringe Festival, off-off Broadway at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre and in the Clapham Fringe Festival.
*Programmed for the 2020 Edinburgh Fringe festival which has now been postponed to 2021

Indigo Arts Collective
Indigo Arts Collective is committed to developing engaging interdisciplinary performance for theatres and alternative spaces. We have particular interest in female and female-identifying stories and a desire to generate work about and alongside communities in crisis. Shea is a recent MFA Acting grad from East 15 Acting School and current MA in Contemporary Performance Practice student at the University of East London. An American ex-pat living in the UK, she works between London and LA as an interdisciplinary performing artist, educator and Artistic Director of Indigo Arts Collective. Recent credits include an international tour of "By the Light of the Moon," off-West End runs at the Arcola and the Tristan Bates, as well as a principle role on the Investigative Discovery Channel's "Blood Relatives."
